Learning how to play bf2 can be challenging at the least.
Getting the hang of infantry combat & the maps can be hard enough, but then you have planes & choppers & tanks hunting u down for the kill.
It all can get overwhelming at times, there is a huge learning curve to mastering this game.
I have over 1500 hours invested in ranked match play & im still by no means a master of it.
To me, thats why BF2 has become one of my favourite games, because of how hard it is & how no matter how good u think u are, there's always more to learn & there's always someone who's better than u.
Bf2 has been a challenge since day 1, but there are some resources out there to help make it easier.
here is a link to a forum that has different strategies & techniques for the various infantry classes & vehicle classes: http://forums.bf2s.com/viewforum.php?id=55
If you want to learn how to fly a chopper better, or if u wanna learn dogfighting techniques for airplanes, they have really detailed guides that will help u to be a better pilot in no time.
It's also a great stat site for viewing all your ingame statistics. It shows all the awards you have & it shows you what u need in order to get them.
See my stats as an example: http://bf2s.com/player/76484109/ If you scroll down to the bottom, u will see the awards ive received, & if u hover ur mouse over the awards, it'll tell u what u need in order to get them. I cant tell u how much this site has helped me to improve my game. It is the ultimate Battlefield site, everything from BF1, BF2 to the more recent titles as well.
Another good site to go to for help is youtube. Not only do they have video tutorials on there, but theres also user created movies & some funny in game moments caught on video.
When u search for BF2, over 7,000 hits come up: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bf2&aq=f
Each vehicle & weapon carries with it a different strategy. If you stick with it & if you learn the in's & outs of the game, you'll be on ur way to becoming a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield in no time.
One more stat site i like to use is this one: http://www.bf2stats.net/player/76484109/ it does alot of the things that www.bf2s.com does, however it refreshes quicker & it also shows ur worldwide ranking for every map, army, vehicle & weapon. For the new guys playing the game, ive been trying to tell u all the little things that occur in game that can swing the balance in ur favour when it comes to living or dying.
If there's anything i can do to help any of u guys out, please just let me know.
See you on the battlefield soldiers!
You know you should offer your services as a human target when there's no one else around. that way they get good practice at doing something they won't get to do often (shoot you). In all seriousness though, having someone take show you first hand in the is an amazing way to learn.
good point wolve lol, i mean after you've been afk this long, my skills have slipped a bit lol
Frenchie has been picking up the game rather quickly, i swear he's learning the game quicker then when i first started.
Although from playing with me he already knows the art of laying mines lol
Hopefully one of these days you'll jump in and play with us bro, im getting close to my 4 star
That's pretty good. When will he learn the art of my pimp stick? I found my keys. I will be back in soon. I will install tomorrow after work and I will try to get a few rounds in.
